The Power Walk for Dress for Success


The 5k Power Walk will be held on May 8th in New York City through Battery Park. This event will give Dress for Success supporters the opportunity to support the efforts of Dress for Success in helping disadvantaged women become healthy and independent. Dress for Success Mercer County (DFSMC) and artist Tony LaSalle will host a wine and cheese event in LaSalle’s Gallery at 73 Bridge Street in Lambertville, NJ, from 1:00 to 3:00 PM, on Sunday, May 2, 2010.

The 5th Annual Capital Catwalk


Dress for Success Hartford will be hosting Dress for Success’ 5th annual capital catwalk fundraising event on Monday, May 3, 2010 at the Hartford Stage. The 2009 Capital Catwalk was a huge success, and this year's is expected to be even bigger. WFSB Channel 3 is this year's official television sponsor for the catwalk. Waterloo Premier of SEX & THE CITY 2


To benefit Dress for Success Toronto, there will be a private, before-everybody-else screening of Sex and the City 2. This screening will be held on Wednesday, May 26, 2010 at 6:45pm at the Galaxy Cinemas Waterloo, 550 King St. N. Waterloo. Along with ticket purchase, a donation of nearly-new professional clothing or shoes is required and will be donated to Dress for Success Toronto. Something to Share

Dress for Success just recently hosted their annual worldwide gala “Something to Share” on April 20, 2010 at the Grand Hyatt at Grand Central in New York City.

Women Helping Women


This annual breakfast benefitting Dress for Success Worldwide, was held the Roosevelt Hotel in New York City on December 2, 2009. During the event, Dress for Success awarded scholarships to 16 PWG members to further their education. In addition, CBIZ Women’s Advantage was honored for the exemplary support it has shown the organization and for embodying the ideal of “women helping women.” Nora Ephron, three time Academy Award Nominee, along with her sister, Delia, has supported Dress for Success this year by donating $1 from each ticket sold to Love, Loss, and What I Wore to the organization. Ilene Beckerman, author of Love, Loss, and What I Wore, was also in attendance to sign copies of her book. For more information, please visit the Dress for Success website.

City Chicks 4 Charity, a New York City based charity for young, professional women, raised an astounding $12,000 for Dress for Success at their most recent event "Cocktails 4 a Cause" on October 15th. Something To Share Dress for Success Worldwide Gala 2009

More than 1,000 guests attended the Something to Share Worldwide Gala on April 7th, 2009. An astounding $1.2 million was raised in honor of Dress for Success. The focus of the event was on the heart and soul of the organization; the employees and the hard work they put in. The night was also focused around clients of the organization and their success stories today. The money was raised through sponsorships, ticket sales, journal ads and both the Pledge for Support—which rose close to $100,000—and the silent auction that took place that evening.
